One of the best things in Rurouni Kenshin is the relationships between and among its characters. Next to KenKao, I love the dynamics among the Kenshingumi the most. This particular scene in the manga is also one of my favorites among the many other scenes that make Ruroken special. It shows how much Sano loves his Jo-chan and how much Yahiko values his Busu.
The fact that they have freaking nicknames for each other make it more adorable. Sano was the one who specifically instructed Yahiko to get Kaoru back on track after Kenshin left for Kyoto. Yahiko was the one who reminded Kaoru that she should not lose hope; they’ll find Kenshin eventually, and he was the one who didn’t give up on Kenshin. He didn’t give up on the Kenshingumi. And both of them are willing to kill for her because they love her and they don’t want Kenshin to break his vow. Perfect sibling/bestfriend relationship is perfect.

Friends and Family of Donna are uniting to raise money to help with her battle against Lung Cancer. Please show your support! My Mom. Possibly the strongest, bravest, most beautiful person I know. She is battling Stage 3A Lung Cancer with both Small and Non-Small Cells. This is her 4th fight with Cancer. She kicked the first 3 in the butt! But this one… it’s a bit more stubborn and we could use all the support we can get. She had 2 biopsies done within the past few months and a hospital stay that came out of nowhere. She is now undergoing her chemo treatments. She is going through all of this with a big smile on her face. I love her positive attitude! She is always there for everyone. It’s our turn to be there for her.I don’t post a lot of these types of things but this means a lot to me.
Donna Ishikawa is my hairdresser but it’s not just that. I’ve been getting my hair cut from her for 20 years, my entire life, since I was born. She’s not just my hairdresser, she’s family. She’s my aunty Donna. No matter what I had to say or what I wanted, she did it and listened to me. Never once have I ever felt like a client. She’s family. Growing up I always got a cookie going to see her and even now that still happens. When my parents got divorced. I could tell her everything I couldn’t tell my parents and friends. I could let out my anger and all my feelings and she took care of me, gave me her advice, hugged me, cared for me. Took me out to dinner, ate lunch with me, everything. We exchange Christmas cards and gifts, she’s watched me grow up and I’ve watched her granddaughter grow up. She’s always supporting people, loving them with all her heart and hiding her own problems and playing off any kind of pain. She wouldn’t even tell us she had cancer.
Now her fight with cancer is stronger than ever and I want to help her. I know tumblr is just for silly things but if this has any chance of helping her, I want to do it.
